Understanding Studies on Your Property
As part of the environmental study and preliminary engineering for the DC2RVA project, DRPT employees and consultants may need to enter properties along the project corridor to conduct environmental surveys. If you have received a notification letter, it is because your property falls within the potential project area for one of the alternatives being evaluated. Virginia is a state very rich in environmental, historic, and cultural resources, and in order to protect the resources that may be on your property, we must know where they are. DRPT is conducting these surveys to help fully evaluate each proposed alternative.
In this phase of the project, most of the field work has been completed.The Project will be conducting additional cultural resources surveys in the Winter and Spring of 2018. If your property falls within the survey area, you may receive an additional visit from field teams and will be receiving a notification letter.
